Bessie was an avid traveler, exploring the United States with Jack and later making new friends as she traveled solo all over the world. She and Jack built a cabin in North Carolina that she affectionately named the Doll House, where they had a lot of fond memories. Later in life, Bessie was very active in The Red Hat Society as a member of the Labellish Girls and Winter Garden Red Hat Group. She was loved by many and her vibrant personality will be deeply missed.
